About
Public art should be for all of society.
We are a community of public art curators, experts, and enthusiasts who are passionate about helping emerging artists prepare for the world of public art.

The field of public art is pretty restrictive.
Walking around cities, you see the same artists' names repeatedly. A lot of them are architects by trade or have full studios backing them. And don't get us started on the artist diversity of public art collections.
So why don't more artists try their hand at public art? Well, there's big gap between studio practice and public art. Artists need training and experience to be considered for public art commissions; they need to understand project management, materiality, conservation, budgeting, municipal bylaws and permits, and a lot of the time, they need to work with engineers, architects and general contractors.
It's time to close the gap.

Our goal is to break down the barriers to participation in the field of public art. We specialize in programs that help artists build their capacities and gain practical public art experience. We also organize regular talks, tours, and workshops with established public art professionals so that you can hear real-life stories, ask questions, and receive pragmatic advice.
We believe that public art has the power to connect communities, enrich people's daily lives, spark conversations on topics that matter, and inspire wonder. Don't you want to be a part of it?
